Episode 3.7 – John Francis Peters
In this episode, photographer John Francis Peters joins us to discuss his journey’s around the world photographing, covering the drought in California, photo editing at The Fader, and three awesome photobooks.
I met JFP a few years back through past guest Ross Mantle and connected with his perspective on photography, eventually featuring him in an issue of LPV Magazine. We’ve kept in touch over the years, so I was excited to have him join us on the show. I’ve enjoyed watching him progress and excel over the last few years and feel he’s only getting started.
JFP is from the Hudson Valley in New York and currently lives in Los Angeles. He received his BFA in Fine Arts and Print Design from The School of Visual Arts, was selected for PDN 30 in 2013 and spent five years on staff as a photo editor at The Fader. His clients include MSNBC, The Advocate, Bloomberg Businessweek, Fast Company, The Guardian Weekend Magazine, The New Yorker, The New York Times, NPR, The Wall Street Journal Magazine, The Wall Street Journal ad WIRED.
